The 2006/2007 implementation by
Hockey Canada of a new standard of play and rule
emphasis initiative, places the focus squarely on the
building blocks of the game. While the rules of the
game have not changed the new standard will provide
players with the opportunity for improved skill
development and a more positive and safe hockey
environment for all participants.
In line with Hockey Canada's initiative, the
North Leeds Minor Hockey Association has
undertaken a comprehensive review of all documents,
policies and procedures relating to the governance of
minor hockey within our association. We are strictly
adhering to our rules and regulations especially those
regulations relating to team, player and coach
selection and our code of conduct. The creation of
this web site was motivated by the need to make our
Rules and Regulations and other important information
more easily accessible to our membership.
